This post brought to you by January in Ohio.

Yuck.

Yes, that is several inches of standing water in my backyard. It's gross. Has this been the weirdest winter in terms of weather, or what? Bring on the snow!!

  1. My backyards the exact same! It's so gross! What part of Ohio are you in? I'm near Cleveland and our winter has been so random...I'd rather just have the snow never melt!

  2. Hmmm, mine spent a week full of snow; for Seattle that's very odd. We're back to soggy today, so maybe your snow is on its way.

  3. In am in Ohio too, and I hear ya! We have tons of water too. I actually dreamed that our house was like a little island surrounded by enough water that it looked like a lake and we had to take a row boat to get to the street. And it feels like it's coming true. What's worse is we have so much mud, lots and lots of mud. I don't even think we can call this winter. While I LOVE that it has been warmer (for comfort/heating bills), I miss the snow and all this water is driving me nuts!

  5. I'm also in Ohio, around Dayton. My son is four, and one rainy day last week he wanted to jump in puddles when I was ready to head in. So I sent him to the copious puddles in our back yard, and I tell you, he managed to get his hair wet, he jumped so enthusiastically! His tennis shoes were 3x as heavy as normal when I peeled them from his body, and they took four days to dry. But boy howdy did he have FUN!
