Sew, Mama, Sew Giveaway Day! Lego fabric bundle ***CLOSED***

This giveaway is now closed. The winner is number 54, Diana.

Hey friends! Guess what? Today is Sew, Mama, Sew Giveaway Day! Today, I'm giving away a yard and a half of Lego-inspired fabric, along with half a yard of Lego-inspired twill tape!

If you win this giveaway, you'll get a full yard of the black Lego minifigure fabric. This fabric is fantastic! It's a really nice french terry  (loopback light sweatshirt material). I actually have this fabric sent in from one of my favorite fabric shops in South Korea, Ixat. Finding cool knits for boys is basically impossible, but she has a whole shop full of them, and her customer service is fantastic. I'm making hoodies for my boys from this fabric right now. FYI, this piece of fabric has been prewashed in hot water only (no detergent).

You'll also get a half yard of  the Kokka print  (you can see a great example of this fabric in action here), and a half yard of the coordinating twill tape.

I should probably introduce myself, since many people visiting this post may never have been to the blog before. My name is Emily and I make stuff for boys. I've got three awesome sons, and I LOVE the challenge of creating for them. Here's a sample of some of the stuff you can find here. You can also check out my tutorials page, even though it is woefully outdated right now.

I've also been known to make a bag or two,

But enough about me! Back to the giveaway.

Here's the fine print:

To enter, leave me a comment telling me about the best gift you've made or bought for a guy in your life this year. I'm always looking for more gift ideas. :)

And, because I love my readers, if you're a blog follower, just let me know with a second comment. That's it! Super simple. Please make sure I have a way to contact you! Leave your email address, or make sure it is linked to your google profile.

The giveaway will be open until December 16 at 8pm EST.

I'm happy to ship internationally!

Happy Sewing!

  141. I have three boys and what you are giving away is perfect for them. I made a wallet cum handphone pouch for my husband as his birthday present last year. And he is still using it until today. I'm touched :)

  143. Oh my goodness. I don't know who would be happier if I won this. Me or my boys. I will definitely be checking out that South Korean store. I hadn't seen any Lego knit fabric. The best present I have gotten for my husband is a Bookbook for his Macbook. Its a cover that looks like an old hardcover book. Very cool. Also, I love the paper airplane shirt. My oldest boy would appreciate that! Might have to try and make one.

  147. My boys are crazy for Lego, and this fabric is awesome! Today is my husbands birthday, and his grandfather was a magnificent woodworker. Today I gave him a small hand carving tool set and made a roll up pouch to hold them all. Exactly like a roll up crayon pouch, but just for my big man! He loves having all of his tools in one place.

  148. I used an adaptation of your hooded scarf tutorial to make my 3 year old and one year old boys grey fleece hooded scarves. One lined in orange fleece, the other in green fleece. My dad and husband like them so much, they want some of their own! Perfect for our Canadian winters!

  159. Oh my! The men (big and small, and even the girls) in this house are LEGO-OBSESSED!!! So, um, of course, they are all getting Lego items! From the black pearl, to the XXL 1600 piece set, to the box with pink bricks, and even a request for more "girl hair" and horses with the unicorn head piece (from ebay). Lego books (minifig encyclopedia) and more minifigs too. We would definitely put those fabrics to good use!!! I promise!

  163. Oh my gosh what great fabric! I was just bemoaning my lack of boy fabrics, I've been making my 6 month old clothes here and there and have just started refashioning adult clothes to fit my giant 5 year old. This year I'm getting my husband a membership to the monthly beer club http://www.beermonthclub.com/join-gift.htm and some super soft fleece pajama pants in his football team's colors. I got a child sized skateboard I am refinishing for the 5 year old, am making your skateboard sling to go with it, some long sleeved shirts http://ridingthebonnieway.blogspot.com/2011/12/polos-for-party.html and for the baby I made some stuffed birds, fish and dino's as well as clothes.
