Unrelated stuff:
1. Thanks so much for all your concern about my finger! It is almost healed now from being sewn through, although it seems I may have lost sensation in that fingertip. I'm hoping it will come back over time. I'm working up the nerve to sit down in front of the sewing machine again.
2. You guys were HILARIOUS with your comments about hair color. Nearly everyone said they color their hair, and lots of you mentioned that the texture of the gray hair is the worst part. I agree on that point - does the coloring help with the texture?
I have to learn how to crochet. Seriously. Good question about the gray texture. I am flummoxed. My gray hair is wirey and annoying. I never really gave it thought. I mean, I have gray hair, plenty of it. Why does it bother me while it is gray and not when it is dyed to a more "palatable" color? Damn you and your questions.

ReplyDeleteI am 32 years old & started going grey when I was 18. Pretty much the entire crown of my head is grey. It's awful. Up until June of this year, I was dyeing my hair every few weeks. The texture of the grey hair doesn't change. It's still wiry & kinda kinky (but your greys may have a different texture). When I first started coloring my hair, the greys would dye lighter than everything else which would give a very nice highlighted look. However, now that I have SO MANY grey hairs, it looks kinda funny/weird to have 3/4 of the crown of my head one shade & the rest of my hair a darker shade....like reverse highlights....sort of. But still, I can tell which hairs are the grey ones & which were not because the grey ones are kinkier. It's a personal call I think. I actually couldn't see much grey in your hair in the photos!!
