In case you're still doing some holiday shopping, I thought I'd share some of the goodies I got for Quinn this year. He's three and a half now, but I think most of these gifts would work for kids (not just boys, girls too!) in the 3-6 year old set.
Quinn's big gift this year is this Vtech Kidizoom Spin & Smile Digital Camera
. He is constantly stealing our phones because he wants to take pictures on them. This camera not only takes pictures, but also records video and comes with simple photo editing software and a few games built in. AND, the lens swivels around so kids can take pictures of themselves and still see the LCD screen. I am really excited about this gift - I think he will love it! Fisher Price
makes a very similar product, and they have similar reviews, but I got this one because at the time, it was quite a bit cheaper than the Fisher Price version, but now the prices seem to be about the same. They both look super cool.

Hot Wheels Video Racer
Of course, you knew you weren't getting out of this post without seeing a Lego product, right? Q is big-time into fire trucks right now, so we picked this Lego Fire Truck
for him. He'll need some help building it, but that is fine with us!
What the heck is that, you ask? It's a
Hot Wheels Video Racer
. The hubby actually picked this one up. It's a Hot Wheels sized car with a video camera in the front of it. Apparently you can record video from the car racing along the floor or a track, and you can watch it in the car (it has a screen), or watch and edit videos form your computer. I think this will be something all the boys enjoy.

Aaaand finally, we are in the midst of a super hero obsession around here, so we got these "super guy" books and toys.
I like this Super Hero Squad book (we've borrowed it from the library in the past) because rather than being about bad guys or violence, it just introduces you to all the different characters and tells you about their powers.

Can't go wrong with Chutes and Ladders...
And everyone loves a little Batman. The Imaginext line of toys has a ton of super hero stuff. They all seem to get good customer reviews.
So that's it! These are the non-handmade, store-bought gifts Quinn is getting this year. And in case you're wondering, I released myself from the stress and pressure of making handmade gifts this year. It's making my holiday much more enjoyable. I've got time to spend hanging out, decorating, baking, and playing with the boys instead of slaving away over handmade gifts. I never feel like people appreciate handmade gifts as much as I'd like them to, so I'm not stressing myself out over making them.

That tiny car camera is something I haven't seen before. Now I'm thinking it would make the perfect present for some of my nephews.
