So Shannon at luvinthemommyhood is hosting a little cowl knit/crochet along. I MIGHT already have like 10 or 12 cowls, but really you can't have too many, so I made another.
I love this cowl. It was quick, and it's super warm, and is the perfect size - it still makes a statement without being too over-the-top huge. Here's my pattern (it's barely a pattern - it's just 12 rows of double crochet).
Supplies: N (9mm) Crochet Hook
3 skeins Lion Brand Thick and Quick (I used Eggplant, Taupe, and Fishermans)
Instructions:
Loosely Chain 140, join with a slip stitch in the first chain
Round 1: Chain 2, double crochet in each chain, join with a slip stitch in the starting chain (140 dc)
Round 2-4: Chain 2, double crochet in each double crochet, join with slip stitch in the starting chain (140 dc)
Change color
Round 5-8: Chain 2, double crochet in each double crochet, join with slip stitch in the starting chain (140 dc)
Change color
Round 9-12: Chain 2, double crochet in each double crochet, join with slip stitch in the starting chain (140 dc)
Fasten off, weave in ends.
That's it! Enjoy!
(Side note: If you follow me on twitter, you know I got scissor happy last week and cut these bangs. I'm still undecided on whether or not I like them. Please validate my impetuousness.)

I vote yes for the bangs - they look nice. Did you really cut them yourself? braaaave!
ReplyDeleteThe cowl is lovely too! 10 or 12 of them? dang, it's a good thing winter is long!
I totally validate! Bangs are a great look for you!
