Mandi made me do it

I know I said I wasn't coming back until after the new year, but then my bloggy buddy Mandi, of Vintage Revivals and Crafting With The Stars fame, joined a crochet stitch-along hosted by The Dainty Daisy, and asked me to play along.

I've sort of been crocheting up a storm lately, mostly as part of my handmade holiday goodies. However, Sawyer makes an excellent model for all my goodies. We have a little Buckeye hat:

And Easter is coming soon, right?

And my little sis LOVED her sock monkey hat! This hat cracks me up.

Anyway, here is the project for the stitch-along. It is a super cute cowl. I LOOOVE cowls, so Mandi didn't have to do any arm-twisting to get me to join.

So, I grabbed some yarn and am ready to go. Anyone else want to play along? This project is a great way to learn all the major crochet stitches, or a cute, quick project for an experienced hooker!

  1. Yay! Thanks for the link! I've been struggling to teach myself crochet these past few weeks and maybe this will help. I've been trying to make a cowl so this is perfect :)

  2. Aww, wow that's all awesome! I wish I could stick with crochet. I learned the basic stitch and then nothing else. :-P
