Remember nine weeks ago when we started the Handmade Holiday Challenge, and we were all optimistic about making one gift a week until Christmas? Yeah, well the man in the big red suit comes in 10 days - anyone else in panic mode? I've been crafting away every week, making potholders and dresses and hats and other goodies I can't show you yet, but somehow I still feel like I have NOTHING ready for Christmas at all. Maybe it's because I don't have my tree up yet. Yes, it's true. The tree is still in a box in the basement. But this is ok because I leave my Santas up all year round! Seriously. I never took them down last year. What? They make me happy.

I mean, how can you not love Disco Santa? Or a Santa snow globe with milk and cookies in his belly?
Anyway, if you're like me and still feel like you need a few extra gifts but don't have the time to make them all, I suggest buying handmade over on everyone's favorite time-suck website, Etsy. Obviously, I live with all guys, so these suggestions are guy-friendly.
I love these spice kits from Cook Outside The Box. And it looks like they will ship in time for Christmas if you order quickly!
Or maybe a desk organizer from lessandmore?
Do you live with a geek like me? How about these:
Docking station from woodtec
Or these awesome magnets from button empire.
We just got some shirts in the mail from WrenWillow.
They are so adorable. Here is Sawyer modeling his:
(The bunny hat is in my shop if you want one, or make it yourself with an Inner Hooker pattern.)
Or, if someone out there is looking to buy a gift for ME (ahem, Bryan Griffith) maybe one of these things would be lovely:
Adorable vintage teacups? Don't mind if I do. From Open Door Studio.
I DO heart Ohio. Truche has lots of ways to show love for your state.
Or craft supplies!
Yarn by Bees Knees Knitting
Or about 100 yards of this - found here and here. Seriously, have you guys touched this voile? IT IS DIVINE.
Anyone else have any great Etsy/other handmade gift finds? Please share!

Great finds! Today I made Josh's stocking (finally...), finished my sister's bag, and a lovey blanket. And I have 10,000 projects left. But 3 done! Woo hoo! :)

ReplyDeleteI have joined in the Christmas panic!! I haven't even had time to upload any pictures of the gifts I have made!! This is going WAY way way too fast...*sigh* And yet, I hate it when Christmas is gone!
ReplyDeleteI have mulling learning how to crochet around since I looked at inner hooker for your giveaway (that I didnt win) and decided to try. I am doing a stitch along and i need to go and get a bigger hook but I think it might be fun. The only problem is I dont really like to be exact, which is not acceptable in the world of crochet so I have that disadvantage off the bat. Good thing I have a wonky finger to make up for it. I miss you though! How have you been? Busy I am sure!
